As Principal Technical Lead for Remediation Engineering in HDR's Site Investigation and Remediation Practice, you will provide senior-level technical leadership, advance innovation, and ensure excellence in project delivery. In this global role, we'll count on you to: Provide exceptional leadership and define technical excellence in remediation engineering across HDR, supporting environmental remediation projects involving remedial investigation, feasibility studies, pre design investigations, remedial design, remedial action, and post construction activities. Serve as
Senior Technical Advisor :
Guide multiple projects with complex technical challenges, ensuring sound engineering solutions and regulatory compliance.
Support Project Delivery :
Partner with the Engineering Manager to drive successful outcomes for multi-disciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
Advance Quality and Innovation:
Establish a culture of quality while promoting innovative approaches to design and technical problem-solving.
Mentor and Develop Talent:
Elevate the Site Investigation and Remediation practice by coaching and developing professionals, building depth and resilience in HDR's technical community.
Lead Thought Leadership:
Represent HDR as a recognized expert in remediation engineering, contributing to industry dialogue and advancing professional practice.
Enhance HDR's Reputation:
Engage actively in the professional community to reinforce HDR's standing as a world-class provider of environmental and engineering services. Assist with developing technical papers and/or presentations that showcase HDR's technical capabilities at industry conferences or other events. Preferred Qualifications MS in Environmental Engineering or closely related Engineering field. Minimum 15 years of technical design experience with demonstrated expertise in CERCLA/Superfund and related federal and state regulatory frameworks. Demonstrated ability to lead the design of complex and multi-technology remedial design to address soil, groundwater, and sediment contamination/impacts. Track record of working cooperatively with diverse teams, regional, department, technical managers and project staff. Previous consulting firm experience desired. Experience using industry standard design software. Strong collaboration skills; Ability to work as part of a team. Travel is required. #LI-MB1, •LI-MB1 Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related Engineering field A minimum of 10 years of experience in remedial investigation, design and implementation of remedial actions, as well as some project management experience Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
Example:
Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
