$160,000•$190,000 + bonus + ownership opportunities Overview We are seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to join a growing environmental practice in San Francisco. This individual will play a key leadership role in delivering complex site investigation and remediation projects while contributing to the strategic growth of the business. This is a high-impact position suited for a technically strong, client-facing professional with experience across contaminated sites and remediation programs, and a desire to lead both projects and people. Key Responsibilities Serve as a senior technical leader managing complex environmental investigation and remediation projects from strategy through execution Lead the development of technical deliverables including reports, memoranda, and data evaluations to a high standard of quality Provide technical direction and oversight on site investigation, remediation, and (where applicable) remedial design activities Assemble, lead, and mentor multi-disciplinary project teams, supporting both technical and professional development Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with quality and regulatory expectations Identify and manage technical risk, including environmental liability considerations, and support team awareness and education Communicate effectively with clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts clearly Build and maintain strong client relationships across municipal/public and commercial/industrial sectors Lead business development efforts and contribute to revenue growth, with an expected annual contribution of ~$500K Represent the firm in industry associations, conferences, and market-facing initiatives Qualifications & Requirements Education Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master's preferred) Experience & Credentials 12+ years of experience in environmental consulting Strong technical background in site investigation and remediation of contaminated sites Experience leading complex projects and managing multidisciplinary teams Remedial design experience strongly preferred Experience working with public/municipal and commercial/industrial clients Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in California (or ability to obtain) Core Skills Technical report writing and quality control Project management, including planning, cost estimating, and scheduling Mentorship and team leadership Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Familiarity with environmental compliance and regulatory frameworks
