Job Description

Position Description:
Responsible for providing environmental engineering expertise to maintain compliance with State and Federal environmental regulations and permits, specific to air quality. May supervise others and/or completes major environmental projects as needed. Retains and directs consultants in the completion of environmental projects when needed.
Essential Job Tasks:
Has working knowledge of and experience with Federal and State environmental regulations and permitting procedures, requirements, and negotiations, as it relates to the Clean Air Act (CAA). Serves as a liaison between State regulators and Generation to obtain construction permits, permit renewals and letters of approval for new processes and projects. Develops and maintains plans, procedures and /or guidelines for complex environmental engineering projects. Recommends solutions to various environmental and/or potential compliance problems. Completes State and Federal agency reporting for Corporate-wide environmental compliance purposes, internal and external, to include Emissions Inventory, TRI, Tier II, TSCA, EIA, and others as needed. Key member to the ongoing success of the Corporate environmental management system; provides direct input to compliance tracking and environmental reviews for the Management of Change (MOC) for Generation and all EMS expansion departments, as assigned. Available for rotational on-call response team. •Will consider
Engineer I, II, III or Senior Position Requirements:
Senior Engineer Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Industrial or Civil Engineering from an
EAC/ABET
accredited University or College + 8 years related experience are required. Air quality regulatory and permitting experience required. PE certification is required. Must be able to operate motor vehicles and have a valid driver's license.
Compensation Information:
$104,620•$130,770 (min.•mid.) Engineer III Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Industrial or Civil Engineering from an
EAC/ABET
accredited University or College + 5 years related experience are required. Air quality regulatory and permitting experience is strongly preferred. FE Certification required. PE certification is preferred. Must be able to operate motor vehicles and have a valid driver's license.
Compensation Information:
$93,830•$117,290 (min.•mid.) Engineer II Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Industrial or Civil Engineering from an
EAC/ABET
accredited University or College + 2 years related experience are required. Air quality regulatory and permitting experience is preferred. FE Certification preferred. Must be able to operate motor vehicles and have a valid driver's license.
