Job Description

About the Role As an Environmental Compliance Engineer, you will serve as a key technical authority dedicated to ensuring operational excellence and regulatory stewardship. You will drive sustainable practices and lead environmental strategy to minimize ecological impact while maintaining seamless facility operations. Responsibilities Oversee the implementation of environmental management systems, including
ISO14001
standards, to ensure continuous regulatory alignment. Act as the primary liaison for environmental agencies, managing permit applications, reporting, and site inspections to protect organizational interests. Develop and execute comprehensive training initiatives that empower staff to uphold safety and environmental best practices. Manage the lifecycle of hazardous waste programs, from internal training and spill response coordination to final disposal documentation. Analyze and monitor key environmental performance metrics to identify trends and implement proactive mitigation strategies. Lead cross-functional projects related to environmental infrastructure, managing vendor relationships and budget approvals for facility upgrades. Maintain robust emergency response frameworks that satisfy local, regional, and corporate compliance requirements. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering or a closely related technical discipline. 3-5 years of professional experience managing environmental programs within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Deep working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and DOT regulatory frameworks. Proven expertise in environmental permitting, recordkeeping, and agency communication. Preferred Skills Direct experience with
ISO14001
certification and internal auditing processes. Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage third-party environmental consultants. Strong analytical skills with a focus on incident prevention and sustainability reporting.
