Job Summary City Brewery s Environmental Engineer is a key part of our site s Environmental Health and Safety team, ensuring the implementation of Environmental Management Systems to deliver a safety-first work environment for all employees while maintaining compliance with all Federal, State and Local environmental regulations. This role will also execute practices that align with City s environmental policies and provide proper education to all levels of employees on these complex compliance and technical issues. Duties and Responsibilities Works closely with the engineering team and plant personnel to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, statues, codes, and regulations as well as internal Company policies Ensures all site activities comply with Company and outside regulatory requirements including but not limited to: Process Safety Management programs, air pollution prevention, storm water pollution prevention, and fire suppression system Responsible for all wastewater compliance, including but not limited to: flow monitoring, report deliverance to applicable governing bodies, and wastewater system improvements Oversees all hazardous waste collection and disposal activities Coordinates sustainability improvements Guarantees compliance with all Air Quality permits conditions and regulations Keeps accurate production records Monitors fuel use Submits all required reports to appropriate government agencies and City stakeholders Responds to any spill incident, including timely reporting to any appropriate local, state, and federal agencies Leads initiatives to prevent spills Conducts periodic spill prevention training to appropriate employees Partners with the Learning and Development team to ensure consistent environmental training for all team members across the site Mentors and coaches team members in real-time on safety best practices by regularly engaging on the production floor Leads teams through any environmental safety and/or compliance policy changes Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in a related field or 7 years experience in lieu of a degree HS diploma or equivalent GED, required 2+ years experience in the environmental field including permitting and wastewater management Working knowledge of state and federal employment law, and applicable statutory codes (OSHA, EPA, etc) required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook) Prior experience leading large teams through change Effective analytical, problem solving, administrative, and organizational skills City Brewery is an Equal Opportunity Employer and all applicants will be considered without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran, or disability status.
