Description:
You will be the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Engineer- Level 2 for the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) team which is responsible for ensuring electromagnetic compatibility and performance of advanced aeronautic systems. What You Will Be Doing As the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Engineer- Level 2 you will be responsible for leading requirements development, integration, and verification testing of electromagnetic systems across flight‑test platforms.
Your responsibilities will include:
Develop, track, and verify system requirements tied to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and E3 performance. Plan and execute platform‑level EMC testing, including test procedure design and flight‑test modification oversight. Perform RF and antenna analysis, COSITE assessments, and radome performance evaluations. Coordinate electromagnetic radiation hazard (EMRADHAZ) mitigation and support wiring, cabling, and power‑system integration. Basic Qualifications:
STEM degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, Electrical / Electronics /
Computer Engineering or Physics Desired Skills:
Experience/Knowledge in electrical circuit analysis, electromagnetic interference (EMI) Coursework/understanding/project/work experience with electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic wave theory (Maxwell's Laws) Coursework/understanding/project/work experience with electrical grounding concepts for circuits designs and antennas. Familiar/Experience with standard test equipment, i.e. Spectrum Analyzer, volt/ohm meter, oscilloscope, Network Analyzer. Basic understanding of RF propagation and principles is desired. Demonstrated experience using standard office software tools/solutions. e.g. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project).
