People • Customers • Trust We are seeking resumes for a Senior Environmental Engineer at our Gladstone, VA Riverville Mill. Key Responsibilities Evaluate environmental problems and develop practical, cost-effective solutions, often related to pollution, climate change, and sustainability. Design, test, and implement systems for clean water supply, wastewater treatment, air pollution control, and waste management. Ensure projects and facilities comply with federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations, and help obtain necessary permits. Collect and analyze environmental data to monitor pollution levels, assess environmental impacts, and inform project planning. Interact closely with operations, maintenance, engineering and process control personnel in the accomplishment of assigned tasks. Environmental review of trial plans for process changes and chemical trials. Basic Qualifications Education•Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science Experience•A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a chemical/manufacturing facility Preferred Qualifications Must possess a strong work ethic and leadership qualities. Strong attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple projects and/or requests concurrently.
Knowledge and Skills Required Problem Solving:
Ability to find creative and effective solutions to complex environmental challenges.
Analytical Skills:
Strong capabilities for analyzing data and evaluating scientific information to develop accurate assessments.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings, write reports, and collaborate with diverse teams of scientists, engineers, and public officials.
Technical Proficiency:
Knowledge of scientific principles from fields like biology, chemistry, and soil science, in addition to engineering.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Starting salary range for position: $96,000•120,000.
Paid Vacation:
Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year. Paid Holidays. Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages•medical, dental, and vision•and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages. Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions .
