Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Hardware Lab Technician / Lab Engineer to support fast-paced hardware development and validation efforts across the organization. This individual will help keep complex lab environments organized, operational, and test-ready while partnering closely with engineering, operations, logistics, and facilities teams. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with lab infrastructure, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting, with exposure to liquid cooling systems and HVAC equipment being highly desirable. What You'll Do
  • Set up, wire, maintain, and troubleshoot lab infrastructure, including power distribution, networking, environmental chambers, liquid-cooling equipment, and related systems
  • Perform equipment maintenance, diagnostics, repair coordination, and general lab support activities
  • Support liquid cooling system installation, operation, and maintenance
  • Assemble lab benches, install equipment racks, and assist with new lab build-outs
  • Track, store, and manage Devices Under Test (DUTs), lab inventory, and equipment logistics
  • Manage shipping and receiving activities, including coordinating advance replacement (AR) units and issuing purchase orders (POs)
  • Program and update programmable devices such as CPLDs, FPGAs, microcontrollers, and onboard power supplies
  • Support system setup, installation, movement, and deployment of fixed and modular hardware
  • Assist with pallet, furniture, and equipment moves as needed

  • Experience working in a hardware lab, engineering lab, server environment, facilities environment, or related technical setting
  • Electrical engineering background, technical degree, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Experience hardware troubleshooting
  • Ability to perform equipment diagnostics, maintenance, and repair
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs Nice to Have Skills & Experience
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
  • HVAC or refrigeration experience
  • HVAC certifications/licenses
  • Experience supporting liquid-cooled systems and liquid cooling equipment maintenance
  • Experience supporting hardware validation labs or engineering development environments
  • Experience with logistics operations, inventory management, purchasing, or issuing POs
