Job Profile Summary:
The Construction/Facilities Technologist is responsible for accessing and analyzing multifaceted technical data, demonstrating advanced proficiency in data retrieval and manipulation for diverse projects. The role involves interpreting technical data to contribute valuable insights to project tasks, organizing and compiling data into databases and reports for effective team communication. The role encompasses recommending improvements using complex procedures, monitoring new technology developments, and completing evaluations with precision. The role also maintains an economic database for critical analyses, utilizes knowledge of databases and software for decision-making, creates advanced databases and maps, and concurrent construction and facilities projects across multiple functional areas, serving as a technical expert and mentor for continuous improvement initiatives.Job Description:
- Accesses and analyzes multifaceted technical data with minimal direction and supervision, showcasing advanced proficiency in data retrieval and manipulation for diverse projects.
- Interprets technical data, applying comprehensive understanding to contribute valuable insights to project tasks, while also organizing and compiling data into databases and reports for the team's use, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Recommends improvements using complex but established procedures, leveraging expertise to enhance project outcomes.
- Monitors new technology developments for application to project tasks, staying abreast of advancements that can optimize project efficiency.
- Completes evaluations with a clear understanding of what information to collect and where to find it, ensuring thorough and accurate project assessments.
- Maintains an economic database for company reserve analysis, budget tracking, and project analysis, ensuring the integrity and accessibility of critical data.
- Utilizes knowledge of public and company databases and database software to generate maps, plots, and reports, facilitating informed decision-making.
- Creates PowerTools databases and maps, demonstrating advanced technical skills to enhance project visualization and analysis.
- Leads and completes strategic, concurrent construction and facilities projects involving multiple functional areas, demonstrating expertise in technical principles, theories, and concepts.
- Serves as a technical expert and mentor, providing recommendations, software training, and support, and initiates and drives continuous improvement efforts, influencing construction and facilities improvement initiatives.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree and/or commensurate work experience is required.
Experience:
- 6+ years of relevant experience, preferably in areas such as Production, Plant, Pipeline and Facility Design, Construction, Operations or a related field.
