Atmore, AL On-Site Freudenberg-NOK General Partnership You support our team as Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities Lead troubleshooting and repair of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to maximize equipment uptime. Support and improve automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, AC drives, and servo systems. Analyze equipment performance data to identify root causes and implement long-term reliability solutions. Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and extend asset life. Partner cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to optimize production processes. Conduct feasibility studies and recommend improvements for new equipment, processes, and technologies. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost performance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance and automation within a manufacturing environment. Strong experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and system integration. Proven knowledge of AC drives, servo systems, and electrical control systems. Solid understanding of three-phase power systems, including distribution and load balancing. Hands-on expertise with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including diagnostics and repair. Experience with HMI systems and industrial automation technologies, with a focus on continuous improvement.
