This role is responsible for ensuring all building systems, guest rooms, and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and experienced in hotel or facility maintenance. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise the engineering/maintenance team, assigning daily tasks and projects Perform routine inspections of hotel facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems Troubleshoot and repair equipment, fixtures, and systems to minimize downtime Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards Coordinate preventive maintenance programs for guest rooms and public areas Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and emergency situations Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory Assist in budgeting, purchasing supplies, and managing vendor relationships Train and mentor team members to improve performance and technical skills Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred) 3-5+ years of experience in hotel maintenance or facilities engineering Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working in confined spaces, heights, and varying temperatures
