Contingent upon contract award About the work The 56th Civil Engineer Squadron at Luke AFB executes a steady portfolio of facility sustainment, restoration, and construction projects in support of the Air Force's largest F-35 training wing. VLinc is hiring one engineer to embed full-time with the squadron's Project Management element, working the execution side of the facility lifecycle from validated requirement through construction closeout. A significant share of this role is Title II construction management, so you should like being on a job site as much as behind a desk. What you'll do Support management of facility projects on the owner's side: scope, schedule, budget, and coordination from design kickoff through closeout Track project status and prepare clear, current reporting for squadron leadership Perform Title II construction management: site inspections, quality assurance surveillance, daily documentation, and support to submittal and RFI review Coordinate among construction contractors, squadron shops, base agencies, and mission partners to keep projects moving and disruptions manageable Support punch list development, red-zone reviews, and turnover of completed work What you'll need Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering, construction management, or a closely related field Experience managing or inspecting facility construction projects; owner's representative or Title II experience is directly applicable Working knowledge of construction documentation: schedules, submittals, RFIs, daily reports, and QA records The communication skills to deliver unwelcome project news early and clearly Ability to obtain and maintain installation access, including a favorable background check Nice to have Prior support to an Air Force civil engineer squadron, USACE, NAVFAC, or comparable owner organization CCM, PMP, or PE/EIT credential Familiarity with UFC criteria, UFGS specifications, and government construction contract administration Why VLinc VLinc is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business headquartered in Chandler, about 25 miles from the Luke AFB gate.
