As a Software Maintenance Engineer focusing on autonomous mining trucks, you'll collaborate with team members to develop new autonomous truck models and features that provide critical value to our customers. As a software maintenance engineer, you will investigate and prioritize software issues to enable high quality and high velocity delivery of Command for Hauling software. Triage software issues in a fast-paced environment Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting Prioritize issues by risk, customer impact, and other metrics Identify mitigations to enable development and validation to continue Collaborate with team members across multiple systemsWhat You Have:
Software Development Life Cycle:
Knowledge of software development life cycle; experience with issue management and resolution.System Level Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis:
Experience troubleshooting integrated systems. Ability to analyze software problems in complex systems to identify the source. Experience evaluating impact and risk while identifying mitigations.Teamwork and Communication:
Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple cross-functional teams as part of a fast-paced software delivery team. Ability to communicate effectively with global delivery teams. Consideration forTop Candidates:
Experience with Command for Hauling systems, functions, and/or operation Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or PhD in an accredited Robotics, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree Experience with data analysis tools and scripting languages for the purpose of issue evaluation and root cause analysis Familiarity with system verification and validation methods Strong foundation in engineering fundamentalsAdditional Information:
This position requires the candidate to work full-time at Tucson Proving Grounds in Green Valley, AZ. Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position. Visa sponsorship is NOT available with this position. This position will require up to 15% travel #LI Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $208,770.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.Benefits:
