A s a 'National ENR Top 25 General Contractor' that values its employees and fosters a positive and supportive culture, Whiting-Turner is seeking a qualified mechanical, electrical and plumbing manager for various commercial projects in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, team-based working environment.

Q u alified candidates shall possess a 3 to 20+ years of experience in MEP management within construction or facilities management. This role required oversight of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing activities within a construction project and involves managing the MEP team, ensuring the proper installation and commissioning of MEP systems, coordinating with other project teams, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.

T h e following experience and skill set are preferred:

• chelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  
• ofessional certification in MEP engineering or project management (e.g., PE, PMP, LEED, CCP) is a plus.
  
• perience in one or all disciplines of MEP such as mechanical, electrical, controls, plumbing, fire alarm, fire protection, special systems, commissioning.
  
• S rong understanding of MEP design, field installation, building systems, construction methods, and project management principles.
  
• cellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  
• oficiency in MEP design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
  
• owledgeable with MEP codes and installation standards.
  
• owledge of energy-efficient systems and sustainable building practices.
  
• ility to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  K e y responsibilities for this role include:
  
• ordinate MEP works across various phases of the project, from design to installation and commissioning.
  
• aise with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate MEP systems into the overall building design.
  
• sure the timely completion of MEP-related tasks within the project deadlines.
  
• ad and manage a team of engineers and subcontractors.
  
• legate tasks and responsibilities to MEP team members, ensuring that the workload is balanced, and deadlines are met.
  
• ovide technical support and guidance to team members as needed.
  
• view MEP designs and ensure they align with project specifications, building codes, and client requirements.
  
• sure the selection of appropriate materials and systems, considering cost, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
  
• prove MEP shop drawings and coordinate design modifications with other teams.
  
• nage the MEP project budget and ensure all MEP activities are completed within financial constraints.
  
• nitor and control costs related to labor, materials, and equipment, and ensure effective resource allocation.
  
• sure that all MEP systems and installations comply with local codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  
• rform regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure work is being executed to the highest standards.
  
• sure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.
  
• dress any issues or challenges that arise during the MEP installation and commissioning phases.
  
• rk proactively to resolve conflicts between MEP systems and other building components.
  
• ovide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders regarding the status of MEP installations.
  
• intain comprehensive documentation of all MEP activities, including contracts, change orders, and project milestones.
  
• mmunicate with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress.
  
• nage client expectations and ensure satisfaction with the quality and timeliness of MEP system installations.
  S a lary Range
  
• The base salary range for this position represents the Company's good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of posting and is dependent on a number of factors including but not limited to role, level, relevant education, experience, training, skills and abilities, location, and market and business considerations.

Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of the various factor identified above.
