Santa Clara, California job type: Contract salary: $40.00 - 50.48 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Establish design requirements and produce construction documents for complex manufacturing tool installations, tenant improvements, and core facility infrastructure upgrades.

Develop detailed designs and layouts for wet and dry piping, equipment, HVAC, exhaust, fire suppression, process chemical piping, and gases.

Perform technical engineering calculations, component sizing, selection, and specifications for new installations and existing building system retrofits.

Collaborate directly with client stakeholders, design staff, and tool manufacturers to build utility requirement documents for prototype and next-generation tools.

Provide on-site engineering support during construction, assisting with RFIs, submittals, and system integration into active factory environments.

qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university, with an EIT certification actively pursuing a PE license. Minimum 3 years of practical application in mechanical facilities engineering, including HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, and plumbing systems. Preferred experience with semiconductor manufacturing tools in cleanrooms, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and industrial field environments.
