Our busy client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Chief Engineer to oversee the maintenance and operational integrity of their hotel's mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facilities systems. This leadership role requires a proactive approach to managing maintenance teams, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of facility performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong management capabilities, technical expertise in HVAC systems, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, and a comprehensive understanding of industrial maintenance procedures. As a key member of our management team, the Hotel Chief Engineer will drive initiatives to optimize operational efficiency while ensuring guest safety and comfort. Responsibilities Lead and supervise facilities maintenance teams to ensure timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks across all hotel systems. Develop, implement, and manage maintenance repair procedures aligned with safety regulations such as OSHA standards. Oversee the operation, repair, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems, electrical systems (including high voltage and low voltage), plumbing systems, and mechanical equipment. Manage facilities management software to track work orders, maintenance schedules, inventory levels, and equipment history. Ensure compliance with safety regulations by conducting regular safety audits and training staff on OSHA standards. Coordinate projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs while managing budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Microsoft Office tools for reporting and documentation purposes. Implement best practices for industrial maintenance and engineering troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the facilities management department. Qualifications Proven management experience supervising facilities or maintenance teams within a hospitality or similar environment. Extensive mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system repair, electrical systems, plumbing system maintenance, and mechanical systems repair. Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations related to industrial maintenance operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes. Experience with software for work order management and facilities tracking. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures specific to hotel or commercial facilities environments. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a safe work environment. Ability to communicate fluently in English; additional language skills are advantageous. Pay:
$85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
