Job Description

Technician Job Description The Maintenance Engineer will be stationed at an assigned auction site, where they will be responsible for identifying vehicle inventory with open recalls and performing necessary recall repair work. The role involves using provided lists for recall vehicles, ensuring all repairs are completed according to recall documents, and submitting recall work in Autoleap with required documentation. Responsibilities Scan and identify vehicle inventory at the auction for open recalls. Perform recall repair work on listed and approved vehicles at the auction. Utilize provided lists for recall vehicles and complete the list with available parts. Follow directions of recall documents to ensure safe and proper recall completion. Submit recall work as a job in Autoleap with necessary information and media. Upload photos of receipts into the Bill Pay app for expenses like fuel, lodging, and flights. Maintain a courteous and professional attitude towards team members, clients, and auction staff. Organize and secure parts in original packaging within the work vehicle and storage unit. Prepare parts and organize them in work vehicle and storage unit. Return cores in original packaging back to the hub. Request parts with sufficient lead time to ensure timely delivery. Adhere to auction guidelines, safety protocols, and security measures. Set and provide a weekly schedule to the logistics coordinator or management. Train onsite with a trainer for 2-3 weeks. Essential Skills Mechanical troubleshooting and installation skills. Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic testing. Mechanical aptitude and repair experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Valid Driver's License - Real ID should travel be required for training Willingness to work outdoors all day in car lot 2+ years of experience in a trade performing installation or service. Experience using basic hand tools. Familiarity with computer software, such as CMMS or Microsoft Office. Ownership of a computer or tablet for training purposes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
