Full Job Description Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, bend and walk for hours at a time. Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds.
Job Functions:
Complete room calls, day to day projects & emergencies such as; Preventative Maintenance of rooms, AC coil cleaning & AC maintenance, electrical & plumbing projects, roof repairs, Pool & Spa maintenance & repairs, Chiller maintenance, etc. Respond to all guest requests in a courteous, efficient and safe manner. Follow preventive maintenance programs in compliance with hotel standards and local, state and national codes and regulations. Respond to all emergency situations including fire alarms, bomb threats, disasters and power failures; notify the appropriate authorities. Make rounds of the hotel property to ensure everything is in working order. Clean and maintain all equipment and work areas. Handle elevator malfunctions. Report any unsafe conditions to the Director of Engineering. Act as Security during your shift. Complete others tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements:
2 years' experience in building maintenance in either hotel or residential environment. Ability to maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing equipment and perform carpentry and repair work. Knowledge of power tools and how to use. Excellent communication skills required to respond on portable radio to fellow staff members and guests. Fluent in English; able to speak, read and write English. Ability to work flexible shift. Ability to work outdoors.
