Full Job Description Overview:
Kimley-Horn is seeking a Mechanical Designer with 4+ years of experience to join the St. Petersburg, Florida (FL) office! This is not a remote position.Responsibilities:
Lead designer role is in conjunction with lead engineer responsibilities. Ability to oversee the HVAC design of projects from concept to completion, including continuous interface with the design team and clients. Assists with Requests for Proposals and Requests for Qualifications for various clients and marketing opportunities Mentor and coordinate the work of designers and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects Manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of engineers and designers on a variety of projects You will flourish on both building meaningful internal and external professional relationships You will work closely and collaboratively with other industry leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractors on multiple project types including:Office Residential Highrise Mixed-use/ Retail Municiple Hospitality Transportation Industrial/Manufacturing Sustainability/ Decarbonization Qualifications:
4+ years of related experience Proven design experience with comfort and HVAC systems and related controls Proven design experience with plumbing systems including water, sewer, and gas Experience producing engineering and energy studies including comcheck, Title 24 Experience mentoring and coordinating the work of EITs, designers, and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects Able to manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance Experience in AutoCAD and Revit is a plus Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability Ability to work individually or in a multi-discipline team Why Kimley-Horn?: At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
