About the Role We are looking for a Refrigeration Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the engineering, design, and technical execution of industrial refrigeration and process utility systems. This is a hands-on, design-build engineering role that works closely with Sales, Project Management, Field Operations, and customers to develop practical, reliable solutions. The engineer will work with systems utilizing ammonia, CO₂, synthetic refrigerants, chilled water/glycol, and steam. What You'll Do Support full design-build engineering efforts for industrial refrigeration projects Create, review, and issue engineering drawings, redlines, and P&IDs Perform engineering calculations, including: Mass and energy balances Heat gain and product load calculations Equipment, piping, and valve sizing Develop refrigeration system solutions that meet customer operational needs Prepare project estimates and support the development of customer proposals Ensure engineering quality and compliance with applicable codes and industry standards Support projects from initial design through implementation Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Field Operations, and customers throughout the project lifecycle Perform other duties as assigned What We're Looking For 5+ years of industrial ammonia refrigeration engineering experience Practical knowledge of: Refrigeration cycles Heat transfer Fluid flow Psychrometrics Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong work ethic and a hands-on approach to problem solving Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Willingness to travel to customer facilities Bonus Experience These qualifications are preferred, but are not required and will not limit consideration for the right candidate.
