HVAC Instructor

HVAC Instructor Rockford Career College is seeking to hire an instructor for the HVAC Instructor Technician Training program. The right candidate will be passionate about the trade, and teaching to students, have at least 5 years of HVAC field experience, be professional, enthusiastic, and willing to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in HVAC systems, maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety practices. Teach both classroom and lab-based courses following an established curriculum. Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance. Support a diverse student population with varying academic and technical skill levels. Stay current with industry trends and technology to enhance course content. Collaborate with program faculty and staff to ensure student and program success. Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Associate degree in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field is required OR significant industry experience with professional certifications is required. Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on HVAC experience in residential, commercial, or industrial settings is required. EPA Section 608 Certification is required. Excellent communication verbal and written is required.

Work Schedule:

Flexible, may include daytime and/or evening courses depending on department needs.
