The Maintenance Program Engineer will be responsible for coordinating with site teams across QTS to build and maintain sustainable processes, procedures, and reporting around our preventative maintenance program. Will also support new build projects by assisting site teams in the execution of Site Startup Checklists, building out the initial CMMS maintenance environment, and disseminating lessons learned to site teams. This information will be captured in existing database systems and made visible up through management levels, and customer reporting
- providing a unified understanding of all aspects of data center operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Other duties may be assigned. + Routinely audit key equipment data within Computerized Maintenance Management System ( CMMS )
- to include naming convention, ratings, specifications, relational hierarchy, and key milestone dates.
Assist local site teams by correcting discrepancies and verifying accuracy.
+ Support site teams by directly assisting with asset onboarding, CMMS setup, and mapping configuration item relationships in support of SDP efforts.
+ Liaise with CMMS success team to provide consistent feedback for application upgrades.
+ Assist site teams with generation and management of maintenance schedules.
+ Identify and share best practices and lessons learned across the FacOps portfolio regarding the maintenance program and new site startup projects.
+ Maintain project tracking and reporting of key site turnover requirements to the operational team.
+ Interface with site teams and leadership to capture and standardize turnover requirements for green field sites, site expansions and major infrastructure upgrades.
+ Support FacOps Operational Excellence program by assisting with the Operational Assessments.
+ Travel as needed to QTS sites for program updates.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or similar discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- Three or more years of professional experience in data center, mission critical environment, or other maintenance role
- Ability to travel up to 50%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Project management experience and/or certifications.
- Prior experience working in mission critical data center environments.
