Facilities Technician Nano-C Westwood, MA Salary range $82K to $100K, commensurate with experience Nano-C is seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to work collaboratively with our operations, engineering, and safety teams to ensure a safe, functional, well-maintained environment. Facilities Technician Qualifications 5+ years' experience Proficiency with shop tools and hands-on experience in a shop environment Excellent written and verbal communications skills Familiarity with MS Office Suite and Windows Experience with soldering, brazing, and plumbing a plus Experience with light electrical work a plus Desire and aptitude to work in a creative start-up environment Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, preferably Limble Safely handle hazardous chemicals in accordance with all applicable regulations; completion of required training in safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) is required Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety with strict adherence to all safety regulations Ability to move and lift heavy equipment; proficiency in the proper operation of lift assistance equipment required Comfortable working at heights, including on rooftops and ladders Why You Should Apply Competitive compensation package and great benefits! Fun, challenging, equitable, flexible, and safe work environment Facilities Technician Job Responsibilities Support the maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of facility systems and infrastructure Interface with design/build team and subcontractors in the event of renovations and facility build-out Coordinate with contractors and landlord when HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or other repairs or upgrades are needed Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs and maintenance on HVAC systems; process plumbing and basic electrical needs Maintain facilities equipment documentation Assist in safety operations, including routine scheduled inspections of equipment including fire extinguishers, safety showers, etc. Occasional chemical and gas handling Support day-to-day facilities operations, including mounting fixtures, securing ladders, assembling and stocking shelving units, and maintaining organized storage of materials Perform facility-based tasks for the Equipment Engineer and the EHS Manager Perform Pressure Vessel and Vacuum Pump inspections Inspect and replace lighting as needed, including ceiling fixtures and equipment indicator lights Respond to employee facility requests in a timely and professional manner Utilize the company's Computerized Maintenance Management System for recordkeeping and on-time facilities work About Nano-C ( www.nano-c.com ) Materials That Power Our World™ Nano-C Inc is a global leader in development and industrial scale manufacture of advanced materials and specialty chemicals.
