Required Skills & ExperienceActive Secret or Top Secret Clearance Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience as an Electronic Warfare Engineer Expertise in Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analysis, maintenance planning, Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), and performance metrics such as MTBF and MTTR Ability to troubleshoot and perform failure analysis, Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs), technical documentation, technical manuals, and Bills of Material (BOMs) to ensure system readiness, reliability, and lifecycle support.
Job DescriptionInsight Global is partnering with a defense customer to hire an Electronic Warfare/Radiofrequency Systems Maintenance Engineer in Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. This candidate is responsible for post-production evaluation, testing, and validation of RF and EW systems, ensuring all equipment meets performance specifications and operational readiness standards.
Daily tasks include:
Develop and implement maintenance and sustainment strategies for fielded Electronic Warfare (EW) systems to maximize operational readiness, availability, and lifecycle performance. Perform Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analyses, including tracking and evaluating Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), to identify reliability trends and recommend corrective actions. Conduct Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) to determine the most cost-effective repair, replacement, and maintenance approaches for EW system components and subsystems. Investigate equipment failures, review Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs), and coordinate with engineering, logistics, and OEM teams to resolve hardware and system performance issues. Create, update, and maintain technical manuals, maintenance procedures, Bills of Material (BOMs), and sustainment documentation to support field maintenance, repair activities, and long-term lifecycle management.
Compensation:
$130,000 to $150,000 per year annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role may include healthcare insurance offerings and paid leave as provided by applicable law.
