This is a project leadership role with responsibility for full lifecycle mechanical design, client relationships, and the development of junior technical staff. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to a range of project types with direct impact on building performance and occupant comfort.

$110,000 to $135,000 per year, commensurate with experience What You'll Do In this role, you will lead mechanical engineering projects from initial concept through construction administration, with accountability for design quality, schedule adherence, and budget performance. You will develop and review HVAC and plumbing system designs for commercial, institutional, and government facilities, applying load calculation methodologies and coordinating system layouts across disciplines. You will manage project timelines, coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines, and serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. Deliverables will include construction documents, specifications, and technical reports prepared using AutoCAD and Revit. As a senior team member, you will lead and review the work of junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance and contributing to their professional growth. You will also support business development by contributing to proposals, participating in client meetings, and helping pursue new project opportunities. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license, active and in good standing 10 or more years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on HVAC and plumbing systems design for commercial, institutional, or government projects Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and load calculation software Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary coordination Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in client-facing project roles Preferred Qualifications PE licensure in multiple states or eligibility for reciprocal licensure Experience with federal or government facility projects, including familiarity with applicable standards and commissioning requirements LEED accreditation or experience with energy modeling and sustainable design Experience leading or mentoring engineering staff Background in proposal writing or participation in business development activities Compensation and Benefits Base salary: $110,000 to $135,000 per year, depending on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off Professional development and licensure support To apply, submit your resume and a brief summary of relevant project experience.
