Position Summary The MEP Engineer supports the coordination and execution of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and related building systems. This position works closely with project management, field supervision, subcontractors, and the design team to ensure MEP work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality requirements. Responsibilities Promote and carry out company Safety Policies and Procedures and ensure adherence to The Middlesex Corporation's Number One Core Value - "Safety First, In Everything We Do." Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and other building systems with project teams and subcontractors. Review drawings, specifications, submittals, shop drawings, and coordination drawings. Manage and track MEP-related RFIs, submittals, and technical documentation. Identify constructability issues and coordinate solutions with project management, field teams, subcontractors, and designers. Participate in MEP and BIM coordination activities to identify and resolve conflicts prior to installation. Support MEP construction planning, sequencing, scheduling, and material/equipment coordination. Perform field reviews to verify installations comply with project drawings, specifications, and quality requirements. Support quality control, inspections, testing, equipment startup, and commissioning activities. Track MEP deficiencies and punch-list items through completion. Assist with as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, testing documentation, and project close-out. Provide technical and field support for successful execution of the MEP scope of work. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Two (2) or more years of relevant MEP or construction experience preferred. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and related building systems. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Experience with MEP coordination, RFIs, submittals, testing, and commissioning preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam; experience with BIM, CAD, P6, HCSS, or Vista preferred. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to freely access all parts of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments. Must possess a valid Driver's License.
