The selected candidate will conduct reviews of functional systems (simulation and testing), HVAC systems status with program chiefs, development test planning with lab engineers, and annual hot trip execution for assigned programs. The Engineer will also lead the communications and reporting of issues which include status updates and driving issue resolution The HVAC Performance Engineer will be responsible for proactive planning and tracking of vehicle validation, active support of aero/thermal attributes, and DVP&R test and reporting. The engineer will occasionally be required to interact with members of the exterior styling studio._
Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Thermal System Instrumentation and testing
BEV & ICE
Main Vehicle HVAC system diagnosis and troubleshooting BEV Energy consumption solutions
Required Skills :
Bachelors degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university We are looking 3+ years of relevant engineering experience Chauffeur's License or willingness and ability to get one (Good to Have) Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills :
Experience with thermal development, HVAC, or cooling systems Experience with data acquisition systems Experience with drive cell / wind tunnel testing Experience working with and directing bargaining unit mechanics Ability to work with cross functional teams Proven ability to lead teams Always eager to learn and improve. Strong interpersonal and writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of HVAC systems Understanding of heat transfer Understanding of Testing and instrumentation What are the Mandatory skills and skill proficiencies required for this position Vehicle Testing 3 Data acquisition 2 Thermal Drive Cycles 2 HVAC Systems 3 Energy Systems 2 The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $19.58/hour - $30.59/hour.
