Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Engineer to join our team at a leading manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical and electrical systems, and be proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining complex equipment. The Facility Engineer & Interim Project Lead is responsible for working in conjunction with a Project Management Consultant, Design Builder/General Contractor and in house Leadership in the areas of planning, bidding, designing, executing, and overseeing all facility alterations, electrical infrastructure, facility preparation, and relocation activities for the organization. Upon completion of the alteration and relocation projects, this position will transition into the role of Facility Engineer and facility/infrastructure subject matter expert. Duties and Responsibilities Facility Alteration Management Interior & Exterior Renovations, Electrical Construction, and Facility/Infrastructure Preparation Manage and monitor renovation projects. Oversee vendor qualification, competitive bidding, scheduling, quality, and compliance activities. Oversee bidding, contractor selection, and design of electrical infrastructure from facility sub-station to interior switchgear. Manage and monitor execution, ensuring safety, code compliance, testing, and commissioning. Electrical service and distribution to machinery Air, water, grease, and process piping Emergency systems (fire extinguishers, alarms) Computer network and cabling Door access and security systems Time-keeping and personnel tracking systems Building signage, identification, and logistics signage Work with internal material logistics teams during material flow planning activities. Oversee installation of material handling and support systems. Manage teardown, transfer, permitting, and installation of material handling equipment. Relocation Plan, bid, and manage, teardown, transfer, placement, installation, and validation for new and existing equipment. Manage the delivery, placement, installation, and validation for, cooling towers, test lab equipment, metrology lab equipment, maintenance department equipment, etc. Work with internal IT team for network, server room, IT equipment, etc. teardown, transfer, installation. Plan, bid, and manage the delivery and installation of new office furniture, teardown, transfer, and installation of existing office furniture. Ongoing Responsibilities Serve as the Lead Facility Representative and Subject Matter Expert for all facility systems, renovated areas, and systems relative to relocated equipment. Provide daily oversight and coordination between engineering, manufacturing, EHS, contractors, and leadership teams. Ensure facility systems preventative maintenance programs are implemented and performed to expectation. Share breakdown of machinery with the relevant personnel. Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained. Manage future facility system repairs, upgrades, continuous improvements, as well as facility maintenance technical and janitorial staff. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, building codes, environmental requirements, and organizational policies. Other duties as assigned. Education & Language Minimum degree: Bachelor's in an engineering or manufacturing field. Master's degree preferred.

Fluent English Required Experience Minimum of 5 years' experience in controls engineering and manufacturing engineering Minimum of 5 years' experience in maintenance and/or maintenance supervision Minimum of 5 years' experience managing maintenance, engineering, or manufacturing department Product expertise in Driveline system preferred. Experience in Project Management Skills, Requirements and Competencies Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to effectively prioritize multiple duties and tasks. Must relate effectively to employees with diverse backgrounds, skills, and experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Electrical and mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment, Must posses strong decision-making skills, and use good judgement. Commissioning and troubleshooting experience Knowledge in Calibration OEE knowledge Physical Requirements and Demands Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Frequent walking, standing, bending lifting and reaching Repetitive movement of hands and fingers- typing and or writing Ability to lift up to 25 pounds Work Authorization Must be authorized to work in the U.
