Job Description

We're seeking a hands-on Chief Maintenance Engineer to take ownership of the hotel's maintenance, repairs, and building systems. This is a great opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys being directly involved in the work and ensuring the hotel's facilities operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and work alongside the maintenance team. Handle daily repairs, troubleshooting, and emergency maintenance. Oversee preventive maintenance for guest rooms and hotel facilities. Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, mechanical, and building systems. Assign daily work, manage work orders, and inspect completed work. Ensure compliance with OSHA, fire, health, safety, and building codes. Manage tools, equipment, supplies, and the Engineering budget. Train and support team members while maintaining hotel standards. Partner with other departments to ensure a safe and comfortable guest experience.
Qualifications:
2+ years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience, preferably in a Chief Engineer or Supervisor role. Strong hands-on knowledge of building systems and maintenance. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead a small team and work independently. High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade training preferred. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Trade certification, Marriott experience, and bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
