We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with a leading international consumer goods company in Wilson, North Carolina. The Role As an HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and ongoing performance of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. You will work as part of an engineering team, responding to maintenance requirements while carrying out planned and preventative maintenance. Key Responsibilities Maintain, service, troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. Work on RTUs, chillers, air handling units and humidification systems . Diagnose equipment faults and identify appropriate repair or corrective actions. Carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance to ensure reliable equipment performance. Install, adjust and maintain HVAC controls, instruments and related components. Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues before they result in breakdowns. Ensure equipment operates safely and in accordance with applicable codes and regulations. Respond effectively to maintenance issues within a fast-paced commercial environment. Work collaboratively with other engineers, technicians and site teams. Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate technical issues clearly. Support a high standard of customer service and professional site operations. What We're Looking For 4+ years of commercial HVAC experience. Valid refrigeration licence - essential. Strong hands-on experience with RTUs, chillers, air handling units and humidification systems . Experience working within a commercial or large-scale facilities environment . Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment . Good understanding of HVAC controls and mechanical systems. Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team. Strong communication and organisational skills. High school diploma, GED, trade qualification or equivalent experience preferred. Ability to safely perform physical duties including standing, walking, climbing stairs and lifting up to 50 lbs.
