Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer with HVAC field experience to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, analyzing and optimizing mechanical systems for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Your expertise will drive the development of efficient, reliable HVAC solutions while collaborating closely with project teams to meet deadlines and quality benchmarks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge in a fast-paced environment that values proactive problem-solving and technical excellence. Duties Lead the design and development of HVAC systems using CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, and Drafting software to create detailed schematics and mechanical layouts. Conduct root cause analysis on system failures or inefficiencies to identify underlying issues and implement corrective actions. Manage project scheduling to ensure timely completion of design phases, procurement, installation, and commissioning activities. Perform system design calculations adhering to ASME codes & standards, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance across all projects. Utilize simulation tools like MATLAB, Simulink, FEA (Finite Element Analysis), and LabVIEW to model mechanical behavior and optimize system performance. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to oversee prototype development and testing, incorporating feedback into final designs. Apply mechanical engineering principles to troubleshoot issues on-site during installation or maintenance of HVAC systems, leveraging field experience for practical solutions. Develop detailed schematics and technical documentation for manufacturing and installation processes using CAD software. Support system design integration involving Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Arduino platforms, or other automation components for advanced control systems. Ensure all work aligns with industry standards such as GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and ASME codes & standards for safety and quality assurance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced coursework or certifications in HVAC systems is a plus. Proven field experience with HVAC systems installation, troubleshooting, or maintenance is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, schematics interpretation, and CAD drafting tools including SolidWorks and Creo. Familiarity with project scheduling tools and techniques to manage multiple tasks effectively. Experience with root cause analysis methodologies to diagnose complex system issues efficiently. Working knowledge of automation platforms such as PLCs, Arduino, LabVIEW, or similar control systems. Understanding of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, FEA analysis, and system simulation using MATLAB or Simulink. Knowledge of industry standards like ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels, piping, and mechanical components.
