HVAC Project Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled HVAC Project Engineer to lead and execute HVAC modernization projects. This role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of projects from engineering through execution, supporting energy-reduction initiatives, and ensuring the successful completion of HVAC projects. Responsibilities Serve as the lead Project Engineer on one active HVAC modernization project, taking it from engineering through execution. Support energy-reduction initiatives by upgrading and modernizing HVAC and HVAC control systems. Perform detailed engineering, design, and scoping for three additional future HVAC projects. Develop project scopes, gather vendor and contractor quotes, and support cost estimates. Submit and manage Capital Expense Requests (CERs). Coordinate, manage, and oversee contractors and approved vendors. Act as the day-to-day technical owner for HVAC projects, ensuring work is executed safely, on time, and within scope. Interface with internal stakeholders to support project planning and execution. Essential Skills Experience running HVAC projects with at least $1M CapEx. Understanding of recent and modern HVAC Control Systems. Experience with project scoping for HVAC in a manufacturing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Manufacturing background/experience. Experience working for an MEP firm. Work Environment This is a fully on-site role with a work schedule from Monday to Friday. Employees can start work as early as 7 AM or as late as 8:30 AM. If starting at 7 AM, the day concludes at 4 PM, and if starting at 8:30 AM, the day concludes at 5:30 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Rockaway, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $67.00/hr.
