What to Expect
Tesla is looking for a full-time Civil Engineer experienced in the design of complex manufacturing campus. As a key contributor on our infrastructure group, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to design and build manufacturing facilities. What You'll Do
Manage multiple projects throughout planning, design, bid, and construction phases
Define and plan project work scope, schedules, budget, and resource requirements
Independently develop high quality civil engineering products including construction document drawings, specifications, narratives, and calculations
Effectively and proactively communicate project needs, changes, and status to internal and external team members
Review drawings and proposals by vendors, engineers, and architects, and drive multi-disciplinary coordination
Participate in and conduct meetings
Coordinate permitting agencies to obtain jurisdictional approvals of civil engineering scope What You'll Bring
Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
Registered and in good standing as a Professional Engineer (PE)
5+ yrs of hands-on experience building high-tech/industrial infrastructure and operational facilities (semiconductor, solar, battery, etc.)
Experience in civil engineering design, stormwater management plans (flood control and stormwater quality), stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP), heavy civil, wastewater, and manufacturing operational construction
Site development background with experience in design of roadway, grading, pavements, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, domestic & fire water main systems, erosion and sediment control, and traffic plans
Proficient in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, as well as hydrology/stormwater management software for civil design
Ability to uphold the use of standards and escalate issues in a timely fashion
Desire to do the impossible with a positive and professional "never quit" attitude
Demonstrates a creative problem-solving approach; ability to develop alternatives and innovative design solutions Compensation and Benefits
