What to Expect The Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer will be working within the Gigafactory Nevada Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) organization on Northern Nevada scopes. This role is ideal for a
WBSL NICET
II or higher with a background in commercial and manufacturing projects. Candidate will be responsible for creating fire sprinkler system designs from initial concept to successful installation. The ideal candidate thrives from working in a technically complex and fast-moving environment and is willing to challenge the status quo. What You'll Do Assist in the scoping and design basis of fire sprinkler systems for Tesla facilities Primary designer for fire sprinkler systems from concept to execution Create full sprinkler system deliverables in HydraCAD/Revit, ensuring compliance with NFPA Standards and ICC codes, for permit approval with AHJ's Coordinate across disciplines to deliver installation ready permit and field sets Create stock lists and fabrication lists Collaborate with internal and external Fire Protection Engineer's on fire sprinkler requirements What You'll Bring Degree in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering, or equivalent experience NICET II or higher in Water-Based Systems Layout Ability to manage and organize multiple projects with competing priorities and timescales Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Working knowledge of NFPA and ICC codes and standards Ability to read and review construction drawings across trades and to coordinate with other disciplines Revit experience Compensation and Benefits Benefits As a part-time Tesla employee, you will be eligible for: 401(k) with employer match Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time Tesla Babies program Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Pet Insurance Tesla is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
