Position Summary:
The Maintenance-Reliability Engineer is responsible for ensuring the integrity and reliability of plant equipment by developing analysis methods, identifying problem areas, and implementing improvement plans. This role facilitates reliability review meetings, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions and provides training in reliability principles. Additionally, the engineer leads the development and implementation of the sites Mechanical Integrity program to maintain plant efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and guidance for maintenance activities to drive plant reliability. Analyze equipment performance data, identify bad actors, and implement corrective actions. Develop and oversee preventive maintenance (PM) and mechanical integrity programs. Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions and reliability improvement initiatives. Track key performance indicators such as Mean Time Between Repair (MTBR). Manage and promote compliance with ISO 9000 and the companys 20 Principles Safety Program. Participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Incident Investigations, and Management of Change (MOC) reviews. Oversee site inspections and ensure adherence to planned maintenance schedules. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain plant operations. Manage small capital projects up to $150K and contribute to cost reduction efforts.

Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 7 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of process equipment, including pumps, compressors, piping, vessels, exchangers, and relief valves. Experience with reliability methodologies, mechanical integrity programs, and maintenance best practices. Ability to analyze data, troubleshoot technical issues and implement cost-effective solutions. Preferred experience with SAP and other maintenance management systems.
