Job Description

Job Title:
Maintenance Engineer Job Description As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for installing and troubleshooting industrial machine control systems, including three wire and PLC controls. You will install, repair, and diagnose both AC and DC motors, as well as single and three-phase power systems up to 480 V. Additionally, you will manage mechanical power transmission drives and related systems, including gearboxes, chains, sprockets, belts, and pulleys, as well as pneumatic equipment such as compressors, blowers, solenoids, valves, cylinders, and flow controls. Responsibilities Install and repair general facility plumbing and perform carpentry work as required. Support the preventative maintenance system and apply industrial lubricants. Properly handle and apply basic hand and power tools, and test equipment. Support the plant's production equipment and setup. Execute setup, changeover, and disassembly requirements for breaders, mills, scalpers, and sifters. Manage the hookup and unloading of bulk rail materials and ensure proper hookup of bulk material trucks. Maintain and upkeep robotic, conveyor, and bagging systems. Handle waste in compliance with EPA rules. Perform daily inspection of forklift equipment. Follow company rules and procedures. Operate a forklift and lift up to 75 pounds. Essential Skills Experience with pneumatics. Ability to read schematics. Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting for AC motors, overloads, and fuses. Capability to lift 75 pounds. Experience in maintenance repair, plumbing, carpentry, and preventive maintenance. Knowledge in PLC troubleshooting, three-phase motors, and mill maintenance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with hydraulics is a plus, though only two machines on site use them. Tow motor/forklift certification is a significant advantage. Why Work Here? There may be a need to perform work outside in the dock and rail yard. The site contains a significant amount of flour and grain. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brookpark, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.50 - $27.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
