Maintenance Engineer once you apply text Carson @513-229-2017• Job Description The Maintenance Engineer maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs a wide range of industrial equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production and facility systems. This role focuses on electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and PLC-controlled equipment, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and minimizing equipment downtime. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and PLC-controlled equipment to restore safe and reliable operation. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to reduce equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions to address root causes. Maintain and service corrugators, converting equipment, conveyors, automated material handling systems, compressors, vacuum systems, and other facility support equipment. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose issues and complete repairs accurately. Perform welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs as needed to support equipment uptime and structural integrity. Support equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications as part of continuous improvement and capital projects. Maintain accurate maintenance records, complete work orders thoroughly, and document parts usage and repair activities. Partner closely with production teams to minimize downtime, improve machine reliability, and support efficient production schedules. Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, environmental, and food safety requirements while performing maintenance activities. Participate in emergency maintenance response to quickly address unplanned equipment issues and support planned shutdown activities. Essential Skills Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including PLC-controlled equipment. Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, including diagnosis, repair, and preventative maintenance. Hands-on experience with pneumatic systems, including valves, cylinders, and air distribution components. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in industrial machinery maintenance and repair. Demonstrated skill in PLC troubleshooting to identify and resolve control system issues. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Experience working with corrugators and converting equipment in an industrial environment. Proficiency in using tools and test equipment required for electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions. Commitment to working safely and following safety, quality, environmental, and food safety procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience maintaining corrugators and related production equipment. Experience with Flexo Folder Gluers (FFG) and Rotary Die Cutters (RDC). Experience with specialty folder gluers and folder gluer systems. Experience in maintaining automated material handling systems. Experience with compressors and vacuum systems in an industrial setting. Familiarity with industrial conveyor systems and their maintenance requirements. Welding and fabrication skills to support structural repairs and modifications. Experience supporting equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects. Work Environment The role is based in an industrial production facility that operates corrugators, converting equipment, Flexo Folder Gluers, Rotary Die Cutters, specialty folder gluers, automated material handling systems, industrial conveyors, compressors, vacuum systems, and PLC-controlled equipment. The work environment involves hands-on maintenance activities around running machinery, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, environmental, and food safety requirements. You work with standard and specialized maintenance tools, test instruments, and welding and fabrication equipment. The position may involve responding to emergency breakdowns, participating in planned shutdowns, and working during production or off-shift hours as needed to support equipment uptime and facility operations. Appropriate industrial work attire and personal protective equipment are required to perform the job safely. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Hamilton, OH.
