Our team provides HVAC, plumbing, and electrical solutions with a strong focus on quality workmanship, customer service, and long-term relationships. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license who can develop, review, and stamp mechanical and plumbing designs for commercial and residential projects.
Position Summary:
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing HVAC and plumbing systems, performing engineering calculations, preparing construction documents, coordinating with project teams, and providing engineering oversight. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and capable of sealing drawings for permit and construction purposes.
Responsibilities:
Design HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and residential projects Prepare plans, specifications, schedules, and engineering calculations Review and stamp drawings as a licensed Professional Engineer Coordinate with contractors, project managers, estimators, and field personnel Assist with permitting and code compliance requirements Conduct site visits and field verification as needed Review submittals and respond to RFIs Support value engineering and design-build projects Ensure compliance with applicable Oregon codes and standards
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field Active Professional Engineer (PE) license with the ability to stamp drawings Experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems Strong understanding of Oregon mechanical and plumbing codes Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software Excellent communication and project management skills Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
Oregon PE license (or ability to obtain Oregon licensure) Experience with design-build construction Experience working directly with mechanical contractors Knowledge of energy-efficient and sustainable building systems
