Butler, PA Cleveland-Cliffs, Butler Works, has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the development, management, and successful implementation of project engineering for assignments covering all aspects of our Cold Mill Maintenance Department. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and thrive in a complex environment. Summary of Responsibilities Identify process improvements and/or critical equipment/facility replacements to produce a quality and competitive commercial product. Organize, prioritize, plan, develop, manage and implement projects for new and improved facilities and processes with an emphasis on meeting strategic goals and needs. Maintain corporate safety compliance with associated designs, furnished equipment, contractor installation techniques and field installation activities Participate in technical investigations, studies, problem review, new and proposed equipment, materials, processes and facilities and provide sound engineering evaluations and recommendations for proposed actions. Prepare equipment and construction installation specifications. Mange and coordinate annual Infrastructure program including crane girders/runways, lifeline systems, building roofs, erosion control. Lead union workforce to complete large mechanical jobs during planned maintenance outages. Perform and coordinate activities relating to civil and structural engineering for new projects and upgrades. Consult with operating, maintenance, research and other personnel to obtain required information necessaryLocation:

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Ability to perform / coordinate structural and civil project and infrastructure activities. Ability to coordinate and execute a multitude of projects with minimal supervision. Excellent communication, analytical, time management skills, and strong computer skills. Preferred Qualifications 3-5 years of manufacturing or steel industry experience. 3-5 years of project engineering experience.
