AutoCAD Technician

Jay R. Reynolds, Inc. is seeking a skilled Plumbing Designer / CAD Technician with hands-on plumbing experience and proficiency in Autodesk Revit to join our team. This role involves creating detailed plumbing system drawings, collaborating with project managers and field teams, and ensuring designs meet applicable codes and project requirements. Jay R. Responsibilities of the position may include but are not limited to:

• Create and modify plumbing system drawings using Autodesk Revit/Trimble Sysque
• Interpret construction documents, blueprints, and specifications
• Design layouts for water supply, drainage, and venting systems
• Prepare RFI's & Shop Drawings
• 3D Coordination with other trades
• Coordination with contractors, and project professionals
• Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations
• Revise drawings based on feedback and field conditions

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in plumbing (field or design)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD / Autodesk Revit / Navisworks
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems and layouts
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with commercial plumbing design and installation
• Familiarity with additional design software (Revit is a plus)
• Relevant certifications or licenses in plumbing or drafting Compensation
