Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) About the Role Our client, a leading defense and manufacturing organization, is seeking a Facility Engineer II to support facility engineering and capital projects at their York, PA manufacturing facility. In this role, you will work with the Facility Engineering and Facility Management teams to plan, coordinate, and safely execute facility-related projects while supporting priorities around Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Cost . Responsibilities Serve as project engineer for low•to mid-level facility projects. Develop requirements and prepare purchase requisitions for facility items, services, and projects. Manage subcontracted construction projects across electrical, mechanical, structural, carpentry, painting, flooring, furniture, and other disciplines. Manage subcontractors by reviewing requested work, preparing work orders, inspecting completed work, and approving payments. Support general construction, vehicle repair, rigging/millwright, crane maintenance, and other facility services. Develop strong relationships with internal customers and resolve technical problems. Support Safety and Environmental objectives through area audits, risk reduction activities, and sustainability projects. Track project expenses and ensure costs are assigned to the appropriate cost centers and accounts. Complete projects within established schedules and budgets. Assist with annual Facilities budget development. Review bids, statements of work, project authorizations, and other project documentation. Coordinate and oversee activities throughout the facility construction project lifecycle. Submit purchase order requisitions using Oracle-based software. Promote and maintain a safe work environment. Support a culture focused on safety, quality, schedule, and cost. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Typically 4+ years of related experience . Experience working in a manufacturing environment . Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a collaborative, team-based environment. Experience in a defense manufacturing environment . Experience using AutoCAD . Experience with Oracle or similar manufacturing/database software. Experience managing facility, construction, or capital projects. Experience managing subcontractors and vendors. Schedule This position follows a 9/80 schedule , typically working 7:00 AM•4:30 PM , Monday through Friday, with every other Friday off . Why Apply?
