Certification 3D modeling Building information modeling (BIM) tools Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented HVAC CAD/Revit Specialist to join our dynamic design team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise mechanical system models and drawings using advanced CAD software, with a focus on Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools such as Revit. Your expertise will help streamline project workflows, ensure compliance with industry standards, and support the successful delivery of complex HVAC systems for diverse construction projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative building designs while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Field verification of existing HVAC conditions Create plans and specifications for HVAC designs using AutoCAD and Revit Sizing HVAC equipment, ductwork and piping layouts HVAC load calculations Analysis of trend logs and datalogger data Utilize field test instruments to study existing building conditions Remote login to Building Automation Systems to review trends and analyze how HVAC systems are operating Create cost and energy analysis models Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, facility staff and project managers, to meet project goals Some travel will be requiredQualifications Proven experience in mechanical drafting, 2D CAD drafting, and 3D modeling for HVAC systems within the building construction industry. Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, NavisWorks, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, Pro/ENGINEER or similar CAD tools. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems design, piping layouts, P&IDs, schematics, and BIM tools. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to mechanical engineering projects. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, GD&T standards, and mechanical engineering principles. Experience with construction documentation processes and technical writing is preferred. Knowledge of FEA (Finite Element Analysis), 3D CAD modeling for product design or assembly is a plus. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
