About the role:

We are looking for a NERC Compliance & Facility Ratings Engineer I to support Facility Ratings compliance activities. These activities span a diverse portfolio of utility and renewable energy assets. This portfolio includes transmission lines, substations, solar facilities, wind farms, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and other Bulk Electric System (BES) facilities. Reporting to the Facility Ratings Compliance Manager, you will work with engineers, project managers, consultants, and operations personnel to ensure Facility Ratings reports are accurate, compliant, and delivered on schedule. This is a fully remote position offering exposure to power systems, transmission and substation infrastructure, renewable energy projects, utility compliance programs, and grid reliability projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and validate FAC-008 Facility Ratings reports for transmission, substation, solar, wind, and battery energy storage facilities.

Analyze engineering studies, technical reports, calculations, and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with Facility Ratings methodologies and NERC standards.

Track project milestones, report status, compliance metrics, and performance indicators using Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering.
