Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. seeks a Building Engineer to support data center facilities within a high-performance real estate portfolio. You will operate and maintain critical mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, UPS, generators, and fire/life safety, to ensure 24/7 reliability. Responsibilities include inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and documentation in a CMMS. You'll help drive energy efficiency, safety, and sustainability while collaborating with property management, clients, and vendors in a fast-paced, performance-driven culture. Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems supporting data center uptime Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC, generators, UPS, and fire/life safety systems Respond to building and critical systems alarms, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate escalations and vendor support Support change control, incident reporting, and documentation of maintenance activities and equipment performance Assist with energy efficiency, reliability, and sustainability initiatives across the data center portfolio Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards and JLL engineering policies Collaborate with property management, vendors, and clients to plan work with minimal business disruption Maintain accurate asset inventories, logs, and CMMS records for all building systems Required Skills Data center facilities operations Mechanical systems maintenance Electrical systems (UPS, switchgear) HVAC operation and repair Emergency power and generators Fire/life safety systems Building automation systems (BAS) CMMS and maintenance documentation Troubleshooting and diagnostics Regulatory and safety compliance
