Job Description

The Maintenance Engineer assists in the repair and maintenance of electronic equipment, including all therapeutic linear accelerators, diagnostic X-Ray equipment, and other electrical and mechanical equipment. The Maintenance Engineer maintains equipment throughout the various Operating Rooms in the Main and Ambulatory spaces as well as orders equipment/supplies via Workday. Additionally, they coordinate equipment trials and repairs with outside vendors. Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for

REQUIRED
Two to three years experience as an engineer with an x-ray company or working in-house at a large hospital Experience
PREFERRED
Five or more years engineering experience in radiologic/radiation oncology equipment Education/training
REQUIRED
Associates Degree in Electronics or closely related field Education/training
PREFERRED
Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Independent action(s) required: Works under the direct supervision of the Clinical Engineer. Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): N/A Additional position requirements: Repairs are performed as needed in order to provide reliable and timely service to Radiation Oncology patients. Maintenance is provided after hours and may include evenings and weekends.
