As the Chief Engineer, you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and management of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across our facilities. Your leadership will ensure optimal performance of all engineering systems, compliance with safety regulations, and the seamless operation of our infrastructure. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive innovation in facilities management while fostering a team-oriented environment that values proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Lead and supervise facilities maintenance teams to ensure efficient operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Develop and implement maintenance repair procedures aligned with safety regulations and industry best practices. Manage facilities maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders, asset histories, and inventory levels. Oversee troubleshooting and repair of complex mechanical systems using schematics, electrical diagrams, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safety regulations through regular inspections and safety training programs. Coordinate projects related to facilities upgrades or new installations, including managing timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships. Conduct regular inspections of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems to identify potential issues before they escalate. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, safety audits, and system performance metrics. Foster a culture of safety awareness while managing facilities maintenance teams to uphold high standards of operational excellence. Collaborate with management to develop strategic plans for long-term infrastructure improvements. Experience Proven management experience leading facilities or engineering teams in a fast-paced environment. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems repair, HVAC system repair, electrical systems (including high voltage), plumbing system maintenance, and industrial maintenance procedures. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, troubleshooting engineering issues using tools like ohmmeters and multimeters. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and OSHA certification is highly desirable. Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes. Supervising experience managing facilities maintenance teams within a large-scale industrial or commercial setting. Knowledge of CMMS platforms for tracking maintenance activities and asset management. Excellent communication skills in English to effectively lead teams and collaborate across departments.
