THE POSITION
Are you ready to step into a key role at a dynamic, purpose-driven company? We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Maintenance Engineer to join our team in our manufacturing facility in Menominee, WI and help power our mission to deliver excellence - every time. The Maintenance Engineer Associate will be responsible for maintaining the facilities and equipment at the Parnell Wisconsin site in a state of compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements and regulations. The individual will work closely with Operations, Quality, Process Engineering, and other functions to ensure adherence to Quality Systems and processes for equipment and facility operations. The individual will be responsible for the facility's calibration and maintenance program. This position will require consistent interaction with Quality, Production, Engineering, and Validation functions. The individual will also contribute to the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and Continuous Improvement programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures compliance with all applicable FDA regulations (GMPs), ICH Guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Working with Production, Quality, and Process Engineering, establish and maintain a Maintenance and Calibration program at the Wisconsin site and execute it through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Troubleshoot machinery and facility issues in a safe and efficient manner, practicing Lock-Out Tag-Out procedure appropriately. Help Process Engineering and Operations groups facilitate the acquisition of equipment as needed. Assist in defining specifications and acquisition of equipment as needed. Coordinate the commissioning/installation of equipment, working with Validation, and ensure proper start-up. Assist in Installation, Operational, and Process Performance (IOPQ) validation execution and data recordings. Participate actively in multi-disciplinary teams to support internal/external technology transfer activities. Reinforce safety practices/behaviors through work and contribute to the safety culture. Assist Operations, Engineering, and Validation groups as needed. Ability to work independently with minimal guidance from management.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability. Any other duties as assigned
Skills & Experience:
Trade qualification or degree/diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent) Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician (or equivalent) in a pharmaceutical, biotech, food, or other GMP-regulated industry. Knowledge of pumps, valves, utilities, and process equipment. Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and proficient in technical writing Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to learn new processes and support changing objectives Forklift and scissor lift experience desirable
Physical Demands:
Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined quarters. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
