Onsite Overview Join a collaborative, quality-driven medical technology manufacturing environment where you'll play a hands-on role in supporting and improving production and inspection processes. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work closely with engineering teams on process optimization, new product introductions, equipment validation, and continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact product quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes. Responsibilities Provide hands-on technical support for the development, implementation, and sustainment of production and inspection processes to meet quality, cost, and efficiency objectives. Develop, evaluate, and improve processing methods and controls, recommending and coordinating implementation of changes to optimize safety, quality, cost, and throughput. Support new process and product introductions, ensuring activities are executed and documented in compliance with Stryker new product development and validation procedures. Monitor assigned operations to ensure compliance with approved methods, material specifications, GMP, and safety requirements. Investigate work-in-process issues and process deviations, perform technical evaluation and root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions. Identify sources of process waste and variability, and drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Lean and operational excellence principles. Support Project and Process Engineers in the development of manufacturing and inspection process flows, and in the execution of DOE, DFM/DFI, and DV build activities. Execute equipment installation, qualification, and validation activities to support production readiness and compliance requirements. Create, update, and maintain accurate manufacturing documentation, including accountability for records in accordance with Stryker specifications. Support engineering change control activities, including ECO implementation and related production control documentation. Provide clear, timely communication of observations, issues, and results, delivering status updates and technical input to engineering and management. Work collaboratively in a team-based environment, supporting continuous improvement efforts and a culture of integrity, accountability, and customer focus. Support training and knowledge transfer for production floor team members, ensuring personnel are prepared to safely and effectively execute new or updated processes during process launches and changes. All other duties as assigned. Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. Requires 2 years of relevant experience. Must possess excellent organization and communication skills. Must be PC literate, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical Associates Degree preferred. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex drawings and have the ability to understand geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (incl. GD&T). High knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials. Demonstrated ability to lay out and set-up machines as well as lead or conduct manufacturing batch runs. Demonstrated ability to inspect product with the use of all standard inspection tools. Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work successfully in a team-based environment that heavily emphasizes quality, performance, and accountability. Problem solving skills and ability to handle tasks in a fast-paced environment.
