Denver, CO Work Setting:
Full-time, Monday - Friday, with occasional evening, weekend, and overtime work depending on project needs. Field-based role requiring travel to project sites, typically within one to three hours of the office. Outdoor work in varying weather conditions is required.
Compensation :
$18.00 to $38.00 per hour Compensation is based on experience, certifications, education, and overall qualifications. Position Overview Join a respected engineering and consulting firm with a long-standing reputation for technical excellence in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, environmental services, and infrastructure projects. As an Engineering Technician, you will perform field and laboratory observations, testing, inspections, and documentation on a variety of construction and engineering projects throughout the Denver area. In this role, you will conduct site observations, perform field testing, collect and transport samples for laboratory analysis, and prepare detailed reports documenting project findings. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, clients, and other field personnel to ensure quality standards and project specifications are met. Responsibilities also include maintaining testing equipment, troubleshooting field challenges, and supporting project teams as needed. Who This Position Is For Engineering Technician I Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Ability to lift up to 65 pounds Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Preferred:
Industry certifications related to construction materials testing, soils, concrete, or geotechnical services
Engineering Technician II Requirements:
High school diploma or GED 3+ years of relevant construction testing, inspection, or engineering support experience Minimum of two applicable industry certifications Bachelor's degree in Geology may be considered in lieu of some experience and certifications
Engineering Technician III Requirements:
High school diploma or GED 4+ years of relevant construction testing, inspection, or engineering support experience Minimum of three applicable industry certifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field may be considered in lieu of some experience and certifications
