10 months Job Summary Client is looking for an Engineering Technician to support internal test equipment systems (ITES). This is a hands-on technical support role that would be a good fit for someone with basic Linux, RF, computer hardware, IT, or electronics experience. The technician will work under the guidance of senior engineers, helping with equipment setup, basic troubleshooting, hardware checks, documentation, and routine maintenance. Key Responsibilities Assist with setup and configuration of internal test equipment systems. Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on Linux-based systems. Follow established procedures, technical instructions, and manuals. Document troubleshooting steps, observations, and test results. Escalate complex issues to Support Engineers. Assist with RF cable management and hardware verification. Identify basic system errors and common hardware issues. Maintain support records and perform data entry. Follow all safety and operational procedures. Participate in training and learn new technical processes. Must-Have Skills Basic Linux command-line knowledge Basic RF fundamentals Fundamental computer hardware knowledge Strong attention to detail Team-player mindset Required Technical Areas Linux RF / Radio Frequency IT / Computer Hardware Test Equipment Basic Networking / TCP/IP Troubleshooting Physical Requirements Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted. Comfortable frequently bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, crouching/squatting, kneeling/crawling, sitting, and standing for extended periods. Must have good hand and finger dexterity and be able to reach above and below shoulder level. Education & Experience One of the following: Bachelor's degree; or Associate's degree + 1 year of Engineering Technician or related experience; or High School Diploma/GED + 2 years of Engineering Technician or related experience. Additional relevant training or experience may include: Technical/vocational program IT certification such as CompTIA A+ or Linux fundamentals Military technical/trade school 2+ years of technical support or IT-related experience
